Old Trafford stadium is conveniently situated just three miles from the centre of Manchester and benefits from excellent transport links to and from the ground. Manchester Airport is only a 20 minute taxi ride away and also operates frequent trams and trains to the city centre. Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport also provides train or coach connections to Manchester, plus you can always consider a train from London stations.
Trams to Old Trafford run throughout the day from both Piccadilly and Victoria stations in Manchester's city centre. Nearby tram stops are approximately a ten minute walk to the stadium. More information can be found on the Metrolink website. There is also a dedicated train service on matchdays from city centre stations to Old Trafford stadium, where the station is located alongside the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand. When planning your trip, make the most of what Old Trafford has to offer and book a Museum & Stadium Tour, either the day before, or the day after the game. (Please note that the Museum is closed on a matchday). See the players' dressing rooms, walk through the famous players' tunnel, and take your seat in the Manager's dugout. For all ages, the Museum & Stadium Tour takes approximately two hours.
